Emailing direct to the blog.
So i now find out that you can email to the blog. Great, but I can't really see the point of it.
The new camera.
Well i picked a Canon 40d from ebay last week but have been too busy in the shop to use it. I've been too busy in the shop to do anything to be honest over the last 11 months.
I thought it was about time i entered a DF photo comp and the deadline for entries was this afternoon. But what could i shoot in the hour or so left of daylight? ( I finish at 4.3opm (ish) on a Saturday). The topic was Black and White, so I found the chess board, set it up in the spare room, which was benefitting from the last of the afternoon sun and tried to get a few shots off.
I finally get a shot i was happy with, whether or not it will win is of little significance. It was a joy just to take a few photos again. oh and here's the shot
that i entered.
I really must get out to do more photography, i think it's the only release i have from all the crap that goes on around me.

Welcome to my blog.
I suppose everyone has a time in their life when they feel there are lots of things that they want to say to the world or to just a few people.
I use facebook and have dabbled with twitter, the former i enjoy the latter, to me at least, seems pointless.
As i sit here in the shop looking at the world, the drizzle steadily falling and the commuters grumbling to themselves about the delays, cancellations and prices of tickets, i wonder how many of them are happy with this daily grind.
To be continued...
